SIP Support GA
Blue Jeans is announcing the General Availability (G.A.) for SIP support in this release. This enables users on SIP endpoints to dial in to Blue Jeans meetings without the need for a SIP/H.323 gateway. -
Lync Screen Sharing (Beta)
This release supports native Lync screen sharing in beta. Lync participants are able to initiate content sharing from the Lync client and content appears in the content sharing window (versus in-band with the video).
This release supports screen sharing from:- Microsoft Lync 2010
- Microsoft Lync 2013
Users will be able to share their Desktop and Programs. For this release, Lync users will still receive content in-band with the video. Future releases will support the receiving of content via the content window.

Outlook Add-in Enhancements
This release includes support for Outlook 2013 and remote installation. -
Hong Kong Dial-in Number (PSTN)
This release includes a dial-in number for participants dialing in from Hong Kong.

Walk Through Tour
We have added walk through tours for highlighting features in the Blue Jeans web application. For example, a walk through will help educate new users on how to schedule and host a Blue Jeans video conference meeting. The walk through experience is activated for two weeks once a new user account is created. After two weeks, the walk me thru experience is disabled. -
Autocomplete for Inviting Attendees
In this release, Blue Jeans has made it simple to add participants to a scheduled meeting via the web. Blue Jeans will save the emails you enter into the invitation and will make those contacts available through autocomplete lists when you start entering a new invitee. -
Simplified Email Invitation
In this release the email/calendar invitations sent from the moderator have been simplified. Instead of listing all the different connection options, we direct the participant to connect directly to the Blue Jeans connection landing page where they can select the endpoint choice from their Meeting Room. -
Cisco Jabber Video Client Access Option
As the most interoperable video conferencing solution on the market today, Blue Jeans Network continues to look for popular video endpoints to connect to Blue Jeans meetings. To that end, we are now making it even easier to join Blue Jeans meetings via the Cisco Jabber video client. This option is now front and center as an option from the connection pages. Once you have connected with the Jabber client you have the ability to screen share during the meeting. -
Set Default Video Layout
Users are now able to select their default layout style under room settings. Both host and attendees will begin the meeting viewing the layout that is set as default. Users, as usual, will be able to change their preferred layout after they have joined the meeting. -
Meeting History Improvements
We have simplified the meeting history application to display a summary of the meetings. Clicking on a meeting row will show you additional meeting details like join time and endpoint types by participant. Meeting details can be neatly presented in the “Save result” Excel download. -
Applications Downloads Page
Blue Jeans has added a new page in the Account Settings that allows users to download Blue Jeans applications like the Browser Plug-In, the Outlook Add-In, and future Blue Jeans applications. -
Audio Experience Improvements
Blue Jeans has an ongoing initiative to improve the overall quality of the audio experience during a Blue Jeans meeting. In this release we have made improvements in reducing unwanted background noise, reduce and eliminating possible echo conditions, and eliminating audio noise artifacts such as clicking sounds of persistent keyboard typing.

Browser Access For Desktops using Windows XP
In June we announced support for Browser Access for Windows Vista and Windows 7, now we also support Browser Access for Windows XP. Users who do not have access to, or prefer not to use, any of the wide range of commercial client options already supported by Blue Jeans (e.g. Skype, Google, etc.) can easily connect to a meeting from their web browser. To use this service just click on the option to join from a browser under the “Connect” tab in the Blue Jeans web application.

Desktop Sharing for Browser Access Option (Beta)
This release now includes desktop sharing from the browser while in a meeting. Participants can initiate the screen sharing from the browser option by clicking the Share icon in the lower left tray.

Browser Updates & In-Meeting Experience Improvements
The following improvements have been made to the browser option:- Auto-update: the plug-in will auto update and no longer require a future download when software updates are available
- Meeting and host’s details are now displayed in the Waiting Room
- A quality feedback form is now displayed when disconnecting from a call on the browser
- Active Speaker indication is now available

Linkedin Integration
Blue Jeans has implemented integration with Linkedin for Sign-up, Log-in and to View a meeting participants’ Linkedin profile from the in-meeting participant list. This feature simplifies the sign-up and log-in process by allowing users to easily create an account and login to Blue Jeans.

Cisco TelePresence Support
This release allows Cisco TelePresence systems to be configured to dial directly into the Blue Jeans service using a dial in number. See the following document entitled Cisco TelePresence Configuration Guide for details on how to configure your TelePresence systems to work with Blue Jeans.Group Administrators can now enable the Cisco TelePresence Video Connection type from the Group Admin section of the Blue Jeans web application. -
Microsoft Lync Presence Support
This release improves the integration between the Lync client and Blue Jeans to function with more familiarity from within the Lync environment.When a user selects to join a meeting from the Lync option on the Connect tab in the Blue Jeans web application they will see presence status in the IM window. Previous versions of Blue Jeans showed Blue Jeans as “Offline” which is counterintuitive to the way Lync users are accustomed to connecting within the Lync environment. -
Outlook Add-in General Availability (GA)
The Blue Jeans Outlook Add-in is now out of beta and in GA. This release will also allow Outlook Add-in users to login to Blue Jeans with SSO if it’s been implemented. For those who have not been part of the Outlook beta, this feature allows Outlook users to schedule Blue Jeans meetings from Outlook. The Add-in will install a Blue Jeans “button” within the user’s Outlook toolbar. For more information see our Outlook page.

Scheduling Improvements – Enhanced Recurring Meetings
This release greatly enhances our scheduling capabilities by giving users more options and flexibility when scheduling meetings on a monthly, weekly and daily basis.
Users can now schedule:-
Monthly: by specific date, week day, first/second/third/fourth/last day of month

Weekly: pick the day and how often (every “x” weeks)

Daily: pick the daily interval value (every “3” days)

SSO General Availability (GA)
This release makes our SSO feature now generally available to customers. Single Sign-On is considered a fundamental feature for the deployment of any enterprise application or service that requires maintaining a user account. This release will support the Outlook Plug-in, IdP initiated log-in and enhanced IdP configuration.

Google Video Chat General Availability (GA)
With this release, Google Video Chat is out of beta and now GA. While it’s always been available to users, we have not charged for the minutes consumed by Google Video Chat users in a call. With this release, we will begin charging for all Google Video Chat participant minutes on a call (for applicable plans). For more details on using Google Video Chat, view our guide.

Single Sign On with SAML 2.0
The ability to federate your organization with Blue Jeans is now available with SAML 2.0. This feature is in beta and can be enabled if your group utilizes the Enterprise Landing Page. The SAML profile supported in this release is: Web SSO, Service Provider Initiated, Redirect-POST.

Improved Skype Quality
Improvements have been made to the overall audio and video quality of Skype.

Microsoft Lync Now Available
The integration with Microsoft Lync is now out of beta and can be enabled for your account. Blue Jeans has included 720p support for Lync clients whose bandwidth supports it. Please contact support if you have any questions.

iPhone Direct Dial
For times when you are unable to use video to join a meeting, Blue Jeans has implemented support for iPhone Direct Dialing. By simply clicking the “Direct Dial with my iPhone” link on the Blue Jeans’ meeting invite, attendees joining from their iPhone over audio are placed directly into the meeting without having to enter the meeting ID and passcode. This is particularly helpful when attendees are driving and need to be hands-free.

Skype Screen Sharing
Skype now requires users to “buddy” if screen sharing is to be used. In order to support this, Blue Jeans has implemented a new process for connecting to a meeting that allows you to “buddy” before joining.

Enhanced Layouts While Sharing Content
Blue Jeans now allows you to change the visual layout of the meeting while content is being shared.

Polycom High Profile Support
The Blue Jeans service now includes support for Polycom’s H.264 High Profile. The direct benefit to customers is higher resolutions at lower bandwidth, i.e. a 512k connection from a Polycom High Profile supported endpoint will display 720p
HD quality video (vs 1 Mbps requirement w/out Polycom High Profile).

Custom Landing Page
Blue Jeans now offers a service that will provide a custom page for your organization, hosted under its own child domain (https://YOUR_COMPANY.bluejeans.com) that is branded to match your look and feel. This page will allow your enterprise users to join meetings, log in, and sign-up for an account.

Personal Meeting Improvements
Using a Personal Meeting provides a similar experience to the use of a reservation-less teleconferencing account, where the same Meeting ID is used for every meeting. We have enhanced this feature by exposing Personal Meeting information in the user interface, and providing a simple method for communicating the join-information.

Blue Jeans can now send service notifications, tips and other important messages to your Blue Jeans web application.

While in a meeting, issues in network connectivity will now result in a more simple notification to participants. Through the host's meeting room, the host will be able to identify those experiencing issues.

Capacity Increased to 25 Participants
Prior releases of the Blue Jeans service had a limit of 20 participants in per meeting. The capacity is now 25.

Google Video Chat Now in Public Beta
Google Video Chat is now available for all users to try. Please note this feature is still in beta.

In-Meeting, On Screen Menu
Room system users can now access a control menu using their remote. Simply press the star key to bring up the menu and follow the on screen commands.

In-Meeting, Screen Sharing Status Display
The person that is sharing his or her desktop will now have an icon appear next his or her name, within the Blue Jeans, in-meeting, web interface. Additionally, the video conferencing screen will display which user is sharing his or her screen.

In-Meeting, Moderator Indicator
The person that is occupying the moderator role, within a meeting, will now appear with a crown icon next to his or her participant list entry.
