Senior Video Protocols Engineer

Pune, India

Technical leadership role in an early stage fast paced Silicon Valley startup in the video space. The person will be responsible for implementing multimedia network protocols used in video conferencing on a Linux/x86 platform for a cutting-edge cloud-based video communications service.

Responsibilities

1. Develop network protocol stacks for SIP, XMPP and H.323
2. Build backend scalable infrastructure for media and protocol processing
3. Develop software in C/C++ and Python on a Linux-based platform

Qualifications

1. BE/BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
2. 10+ years of commercial software engineering experience
3. Implementation and/or integration experience with SIP stacks in commercial conferencing products (or voice/VoIP products, video preferred)
4. Deep knowledge of SIP protocol specs, interoperability and Microsoft OCS, LCS, and Lync
5. Extensive experience programming in C/C++and product delivery on Linux/x86 platform
6. Experience with other protocols such as H.323 and XMPP will be a big plus
7. Experience building an infrastructure product such as a bridge, MCU, GateKeeper or Gateway will be a plus
8. Implementation experience with NAT traversal techniques and standards, such as STUN, ICE, TURN, will be a plus
