IT Manager

This position will be responsible for system installation, troubleshooting and user support to our Corporate Office of laptops, workstations, cloud applications, network servers, phones and printers. Support includes installation and testing of network systems and peripherals within established guidelines. Your knowledge of IT system architecture, security and storage will offer insight and strategies for improvements.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist employees and new hires with the installation, configuration and ongoing usability of desktop computers, peripheral equipment and software
  2. Ensure desktop computers interconnect seamlessly with diverse systems including associated validation systems, file servers, email servers, computer conferencing systems, application servers and administrative systems
  3. Work with procurement staff to purchase hardware and software
  4. Assesses functional needs to determine specifications for purchases
  5. Order computer supplies
  6. Maintain telephone system (VoIP)
  7. Network support
  8. Cabling and configuring switches
  9. Management of corporate VMware servers
  10. Administration of Google Apps accounts and other cloud services, including storage and financial applications.
  11. Other duties as required

Qualifications

  1. 5-7 years of experience supporting Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and OSX on desktop and laptop systems
  2. Extensive experience troubleshooting hardware issues and replacing hardware on both
    desktop/laptop PCs and Macs
  3. 5-7 years of experience troubleshooting basic network, software, printing problems
  4. Prior experience administrating Google Apps in a corporate environment
  5. 3-5 years of experience working with VMware ESX / ESXi
  6. Experience with Linux desktop administration (especially Ubuntu) a plus
  7. Must be a self-starter and have excellent customer service skills.
