G’day! We love our Aussie friends and users and so we’ve decided to make it official! Today, we’re very excited to announce our partnership with Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications provider.
Relationships are complicated. And no matter how hard we may work at it, there comes a time when enough is enough. This Valentine’s week, it’s time to break up… with web conferencing.
Last week, the Blue Jeans team took a field trip to UC Berkeley to kick off our video conferencing service across campus. You may remember that we were at Cal a few months back, but now we’ve hit the ground running and are now extending the service to both undergraduate and graduate students.
The world of traditional work is changing as we know it. Mobile and cloud technologies are disrupting this space and are ushering in a new, modern and complex ‘3D’ Workforce, one that is distributed across locations, has a decentralized leadership, and has work that occurs at discontinuous hours.
It’s cold and flu season and I find myself reaching for hand sanitizer just a bit more often. When most of us have a lingering illness, there’s a tendency to look up symptoms on sites like MayoClinic and do (shoddy) self-diagnosis to gauge whether or not a trip to the doctor’s is necessary.
Video conferencing is taking place everywhere: from desktops at work, from conference rooms, from mobile devices, from universities, from home offices, and from coffee shops when we work remotely. As technology evolves and more business users embrace the value of online face-to-face interactions...
As we look forward and plan for Q1 and the year ahead, we decided to revisit the State of the Modern Meeting to look at collaboration trends and how video technology is reshaping how we meet. What did we find out? Not surprisingly, the vast majority of people feel that face-to-face communications improves relationships, so much so that nearly three quarters of people believe they lost a deal due to the lack of face-to-face interaction.
Let’s face it- traditional video conferencing can be expensive. And for a small to medium size business, it can be difficult to adopt and maintain video just for that reason. We found out from the State of the Modern Meeting that 56% of video conference calls happen over a traditional room system. But how many of those systems do you thnk cost under $1k? So today, we’re excited to partner up with Tely Labs to give users an exclusive offer.
